Nau mai haere mai ki Term 4 2019
Welcome to another term of exciting learning at our kura.
Our overarching theme this year is:
We are Empowered
Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi engari he toa takitini.
I come not with my own strengths but bring with me the gifts, talents and strengths of my
family, tribe and ancestors.
During Term 4 students will be focusing on The Arts and Digital Technology. Staff are continuing their professional learning in Digital technology, promoting student agency and providing opportunities for our tamariki to be creative.
Our kura continues to be organised in whānau areas so that our seniors can really show our school values of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga in an authentic tuākana/tēina setting.
A focus for the this term will be on manaakitanga as we look for ways to share and give back to and enhance our community.
Another of our values is Kairangi which means that we strive for excellence in all that we do. We aim to be the best we can be. Ako - teaching and learning is at the heart of all that we do at our kura. We want the very best learning outcomes for your tamariki and welcome you in to help us achieve this.
By the end of Term 4 we will have a brand new playground thanks to the generosity of The Ted Manson Foundation. We are really excited about this development.
