Nau mai haere mai ki Term 2 2018
Welcome to another year of exciting learning at our kura.
Term 1 saw lots of exciting events happening. Fa’afetai lava for all of the help and support with electives. We saw so many children trying new things, from pottery to rock climbing, and it was fabulous.
Our new classrooms are now all finished and will all be full by the end of this term. Over the break we have installed another water fountain and have re-carpeted the deck outside of Rooms 8-12. Our new SWIS, Dave Dallaston, is now fully settled in his new room beside the Garden to Table room.
The school being organised in whānau areas is working really well. Our seniors are really showing our school values of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga in an authentic tuākana/tēina setting. This term we have a “chant off” where each team will be competing in the hall in the last week after a day of whānau fun.
Students are encouraged to show manaakitanga and whanaungatanga. Ako - teaching and learning is always at the heart of all that we do at our kura. Another of our values that is encouraged is Kairangi. Kairangi means that we strive for excellence in all that we do. We aim to be the best we can be.
Our overarching theme this year is Kairangi and it applies to all of us in this kura. We want the very best learning outcomes for your tamariki and welcome you in to help us achieve this.
