Nau mai haere mai ki Term 4 2018
This term we have a technology focus titled: Design, Trial, Produce, Give. Our whakarauki this term is: Pai tū, pai hinga, nāwai rā ka oti: Good to stand, good to fall, continue on and eventually the work is completed.
This term is special for our Year 6s in particular as they ready themselves for their Intermediate years. We will have our Year 6 dance at the end of this term. We will also have the Mayow fun day and have our prize giving at the end of the year.
The school being organised in whānau areas continues to work well. Our seniors are really showing our school values of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga in an authentic tuākana/tēina setting.
Students are encouraged to show manaakitanga and whanaungatanga. Ako - teaching and learning is always at the heart of all that we do at our kura. Another of our values that is encouraged is Kairangi. Kairangi means that we strive for excellence in all that we do. We aim to be the best we can be.
Our overarching theme this year is Kairangi and it applies to all of us in this kura. We want the very best learning outcomes for your tamariki and welcome you in to help us achieve this.
Congratulations to Margaret Thorby and Julie McCallum who received the Karaka Award
at the “Love Your Place” Waitākere Ranges Awards evening. Their work and that of
our tamariki was recognised for their efforts in Garden to Table. Tino pai rawa atu!
