2008 Sport Teams
FLIPPA BALL
This is the first year Glen Eden has had a flippa ball team. We competed at West Wave in term 1 and Waterhole in term 4. We had great success in term 4 winning all 7 games of the season. Everyone enjoyed the season and have shown huge improvement. Some players are moving on next year and we wish them well with waterpolo. We are looking forward to having a big turn out for trials in term 1 2009.
Netball
A special tino pai rawa to Mrs Thorby’s netball team who won their grade at Te Pai netball courts. It was a very exciting game and the girls were ahead by just one gaol when the final whistle blew.
RIPPA RUGBY
Sunday 10th August a team of 3 girls and 7 boys went to play Rippa Rugby at Eden Park. They played a full on 20 minute game. Our team scored 7 tries. The children had a fantastic day staying on at Eden Park to watch the Auckland team beat Taranaki in a Ranfurly shield challenge.
