The Breakers Experience
50 children from Glen Eden Primary School were invited to the New Zealand Breakers morning training session in Mairangi Bay. During training our children were given the opportunity to take a tour around the stadium and learn about the requirements and demands of a professional athlete.
Our bones were tingling when our bus pulled into the Breakers headquarters. When we got inside we were met by Hayden who is 6 feet tall. Hayden took us for a tour around the headquarters. While the other 2 groups sat in the grandstand and watched the Breakers train. After morning tea we were split into our groups again and got to do some skills with the Breakers, shooting, dribbling and passing.
Then after all that we got to play a really cool game called Golden Child. We played that game for 20minutes and before we knew it we were on our way back home from an exciting and tiring day.
